Using Native Aquatics In Everyday Water Gardens
January 17, 2013 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
This is a very popular public meeting presented by The local Ixia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society (Duval, Nassau & Clay). No RSVP or reservation is needed or desired.
“Using Native Aquatics in Everyday Water Gardens.” by local native plant and aquatics ecosystem expert Clint Shea.
Clint Shea was born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He grew up on the beach and around the local waterways. At a very young age he began taking a strong interest in everything aquatic. It wasn’t until after receiving bachelors’ in Political Science from UNF, that he decided to follow his passion and pursue more knowledge in plants and aquatic ecosystems. While working in Real Estate with his father he saw an opportunity to start a small business that would maintain storm water retention ponds for local communities.
ECO Management Services now maintains storm water retention ponds, private ponds, and strives to use natural remedies to preserve aquatic habitats. He also builds Koi ponds and can service them. He has been using everything possible to keep the ecosystem alive and natural while trying to spread knowledge of the dangers that are associated with conventional management practices.
He continues to grow his passion for natural ecosystems and loves nothing more than to teach others about nature. He believes this knowledge will help preserve Florida and keep it around for years to come.
