All About Bats

March 8, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Holly Ober, Associte Professor of Wildlife Ecology with UF/IFAS and Chair of the Florida Bat Working Group, will discuss bat biology, conservation, and their important role in the ecosystem. Following the presentation, we will tour the Leon County Extension Office grounds and listen to bats using Dr. Ober’s research equipment and, hopefully, observe bats exit our bat house for the evening.

This workshop is free to attend.

On Saturday, March 10th, participants are invited to attend a bathouse building workshop to help provide bat habitat in their own yards. There is a $35 fee for each team/household wishing to leave with a bathouse and a $5 fee for those that just wish to learn. Please sign up for that workshop using separate Eventbrite ticket.
